I still don't understand....what stops the release of the initial contest prizes?
Does the number of votes determine some kind of funding for the prizes?
What constitutes a high voter turnout? There was easily 700+ voters...the top 6 all had 100+ votes.

I just don't get why the showdown could not have continued, and the prizes given out anyway. Because of the poor turnout and whatnot, the contest should probably be reconsidered for next year, instead of disappointing those that worked tirelessly on this side to create the artwork and garner voters' attention.

I'm not satisfied with this decision, and while I understand nothing can be rectified for this year, I still would appreciate knowing why these decisions were made. I think we are at least owed that much.

It is sad. Low voter turn out actually refers to the number of votes in the contest. Voter turn out matters because it is one measure of the interaction and success of the overall project. With little interest it becomes an incredible amount of time and resources to put into something that is not very effective. We can't run promotions or contests like this one without being accountable to our sponsors and without considering what other projects can't be completed if we have exhausted our time and resources. It is truly unfortunate and a difficult decision to have to make.

I don't get it....why does voter turn out matter? I'm sure no body was interested in showing up for -another- audience vote....couldn't the contest continue with the judges, like stated in the initial contest rules before this iClicker business came about?

Also, that's nice that everyone got a reward, but it's not fair to those who worked hard on their submission...how is it justified that people put in different amounts of effort and time and the prize is shared equally?

This is really bad planning on Titles' part. And a really, really disappointing outcome. It still doesn't seem right that the contest was called off for "lack of interest/voter turnout". There are ways to continue with the contest without raising a huge hooplah in MUSC about it...

I'm just very confused by the entire ordeal. Sad.
